Pediatrician Career Description - Comments
A pediatrician's job description entails treating the physical ailments children encounter or might likely encounter. Providing preventative care, monitoring growth and development, and providing advocacy for children may all be included in a pediatrician's job description. With increasing rates of obesity, depression, and diabetes in children today, a pediatrician's job description also encompasses many issues once thought of as only being experienced by adults. A pediatrician's career can either cover the general needs of children with their common health issues or include specialization in a certain field of pediatrics, such as Pediatric Audiology.According to a recent PayScale Survey of Pediatricians, some were physicians in General Practice or internal medicine five years prior to working as pediatricians. After five years in general pediatrics, some pediatricians have moved toward a career in neonatology.
