#PayChat: Does a college degree always pay off?
It’s almost time for #PayChat, PayScale’s monthly Twitter chat where we discuss your most burning questions regarding career and pay. In the past, we’ve discussed everything from networking to negotiation, and this Wednesday, May 29th at 10:30 a.m. (PST), we’ll talk about another important aspect of career and pay – education. We’ll talk about how what you study in college affects your career prospects. Want to get advice on whether or not to go back to school or learn how to make a successful career out of a degree you already have? Join the #PayChat.
PayScale recently released our 2013 College ROI Report, which examines the return on investment at over 1,000 colleges and universities. This comprehensive report also looks at ROI in specific categories such as region, school type, gender and major. This Wednesday, we’ll dive deeper into this report to talk about the importance of school choice and field of study.
During this 30 minute Twitter chat, we’ll discuss the following questions:
- – Did what you study and where you went to school have an impact on your present career?
- – Were you able to turn a typically low paying major into a lucrative career?
- – Do you feel you got a positive ROI on your college education?
- – Was your college education worth the investment?
Join the conversation this Wednesday to discuss these questions and more.
