First, make and stick to a schedule. Use daily, weekly and monthly calendars to keep track of your ongoing tasks and to-do lists. Allocate time for each item and stick to that schedule. You'll be more productive and you'll have time leftover for the fun stuff. Writing things down will also free up your mind from having to remember all the little things. Make lists for everything, and you'll find you're more able to concentrate.
When you get an invitation to do a fun summertime activity that gets in the way of your schedule, you'll just have to learn to say no. It's okay to miss out on a few fun activities. And don't worry, there will be plenty of time for play when you complete your work tasks.
Summer is also the time of the year when people tend to get the least amount of sleep. Just because it's nice out and all you want to do is spend time with your friends and family doesn't mean you shouldn't get enough sleep every night. You will certainly not be as productive if your mind and body are tired.
Lastly, make time for play. Get outside and enjoy the sun while you can. Work from a park, go for a long walk and make the most of your summer.
