How to Become a Hacker [infographic]

Have you ever considered a career as a hacker? There are a few things you'll need to consider first, like what type of hacker you want to be and which career path you can follow. The infographic below from Schools.com will help you figure out if becoming a hacker is right for you.

First, you need to consider what type of hacker you want to be. There are the ethical hackers who are hired by companies to hack into their systems and then report on system glitches and where their firewalls fail. Then there are the hackers who work for the people. These hackers have no malicious intent, but will illegally hack into a company's system to show consumers if there are any security holes. Then there are the cybercriminal hackers who break into websites and release private information all for their own personal gain.

If you are interested in computer hacking and turning it into a career, there are two possible job routes you can take. You can become an Information Security Analyst by getting a degree in computer science, programming or information security. Information Security Analysts can make up to $135,600 a year. You can also become a computer programmer with a degree in computer science or programming. Computer programmers can make up to $117,890 a year.
