Known as the "Lone Star State," Texas is the second largest state in the US. Colleges like the University of Texas, Southern Methodist University, University of Houston, Texas A&M University, University of Dallas, Texas Tech University, Rice University, and the University of North Texas all top the list of 44 schools where you can earn a master's degree, MBA, JD or PhD, with high salary earning potential in Texas.

One of the smallest grad schools, Our Lady of the Lake University (located in San Antonio) is also reportedly at the lower end of the salary spectrum according to alumni. Our Lady has a predominantly female-student population, and many alumni say that their jobs after graduation were very meaningful.
