Process Engineer Reviews

Q: What is it like working as a Process Engineer?

Process Engineer in Moranbah:
"Challenging the status quo."
Pros: Constant optimisation and improvement means there's no time to rest on laurels! Processing plants can run better, leaner and cleaner and it's my job to put in those optimisations. My team is quite close and helpful, I enjoy working with them a lot. I get just the right proportion of desk work to getting-my-hands-dirty in the plant.
Cons: Current climate in the coal industry is difficult as coal prices are low. This puts a damper on work because people fear for their jobs, which changes the atmosphere at work. Also mining mentality can be difficult to work with.
