Cons: Although putting in the time will pay off with executing well run events the long hours are sometimes difficult for work life balance.

Set the tone you want with your staff right away. Make them respect and listen to you. Otherwise it's much harder to get back at a later time.

It took me about 3 years to earn that the customer is always right. I could of saved allot of stress if I had known that from the beginning. I now incorporate this into my training of new employees. "The customer is always right unless the customer is being unreasonable, in which case you can refer them to me."
