What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?

Hairstylist in Toronto:
Make make sure that you take care of yourself and put money away every month for safekeeping because with this job you're not guaranteed a monthly salary that is the same every month. Some months are good and some others are really bad. And you have no benefits, medical or otherwise.

Hairstylist in Pickering:
"To some stylist rush to go home before closing."
Follow all the rules of the store, and not let other stylist intimidate you to change anything you're not supposed to do.

Hairstylist in London:
"I wish."
I wish I would have known how many responsibilities and expectations there would be for such little pay compensation. I wish I would have known I would be working 4 day weeks at 40+ hours.
