Human Resources (HR) Manager in Vancouver:
Pros: Engaging with people in a way that supports and elevates their position in life. My position makes a difference with people both employers and managers when the right people are in the right job and working with supervisors and managers that are best suited to their work style. I can improve quality of life for employees through training and development programs so they can grow their skills set. I have implemented programs and protocols that make work life easier and efficient.
Cons: I impact peoples lives, the job is not difficult the consequences to oneself and others can be devastating and therefore cause stress. Of me. I deal with reprimands and suspensions- I have let people go. My position generates a certain amount of fear. Managing change, implementing new protocols, dealing with resistance from all levels of the company.
