Strongly consider whether public sector vs private sector is where you want to be. Further, consider whether working as a consultant vs contractor is where you want to be.
All are 'construction' but all have very different pro's/cons.

If your a new Project Manager then it is wise to make a checklist of your responsibilities, follow and adjust accordingly on a daily bases. This will help you familiarize yourself with your duties.

We all have a job to do but you cannot do this alone. You must share your knowledge, delegate responsibilities, communicate with everyone and acknowledge your team with respect and admiration for the efforts they put in daily.
