Retail Cashier Reviews

Q: What is it like working as a Retail Cashier?

Retail Cashier in Calgary:
"It fun, I got to meet new people and assist them."
Pros: I like that I can sale a product that I personally also like. I also like the fact to work inside and not on the cold weather. It fun to meet new people every day and assist they need, buy selling them things they want and like. I enjoy taking to people and to my team workers. Works as a team it also something I like to do. To learn and to give some new ideas to in my work place. And some times to shop around for my own.
Cons: I don't like the way the store function to manage the hours of the people, the more you sell the more hours you give to the people. Because went you sell less the store take away hours from the people. Which take you to have less people working in the store the less money the employer will gain. And for me that is a negative fact because I can't compete with the managers who have to work 40h a week. But have to work half on paperwork and stock and employers and half in the for with customers needs. And I guess dealing with the public is a much larger problem then working on doing paperwork.
