The job of an Asp.Net Developer involves being responsible for developing and maintaining custom business applications. It may also involve preparing technical design forms and creating new software through new or existing codes. A developer also corrects application system errors and tests programs to measure efficiency.
The majority, if not all, of the work that an Asp.Net Developer does is indoors, and is mostly mental. They may be employed by a vast type of businesses and industries. Strong communication skills, time-management and programming skills are required, and they work a great deal with mainframe operating systems and Web platform development software. The position may require some travel.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. A developer must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, sometimes working remotely with teams. They also work with analysts and developers. They must possess problem-solving skills and be able to multi-task. They must also have an aptitude for learning new technologies.
Sometimes organizations contract developers, instead of employing them outright within the company.
Keeping up with technology is a requisite of this job, as well as being able to pick things up very quickly. Because technology is always evolving, one must be willing to progress along with that movement.
