Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Advice

What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in Ambala:
"Set an example for the team to perform and excel."
I was lucky to have a team that needed job security and wanted to learn and excel by the skill and experience it had. The company gave them the opportunity to grow and perform. The company grew 20% every year during the last 8 years and so did the team. Lately there will be managers who will develop ego or dissatisfaction with the CEO. Will consider themselves indispensable. They will need more attention and importance since firing them might send a bad signal to the team and the promoter. So a CEO has to manage the egos of such managers till he has a good substitute. Secondly and importantly I could win the hearts of my team by setting an example of honesty, punctuality and intelligence in managing operations.
