Job Description for Product Development Manager, Marketing

A marketing project development manager is responsible for assisting in scale-up to commercialization, collaborating with sales and marketing teams to expand business, and managing the product development process and allocation of resources. They oversee creative workflows and process applications, as well as perform market analysis and identify the need for products in the current or near future. Other duties include preparing budgets, expanding product solutions, planning marketing and branding objectives, engaging consumers on social media and other mediums, and developing a lead marketing team to create new concepts or products.

These jobs usually require at least a bachelor’s degree and expertise with project management software such as SharePoint. Candidates for the job also must have experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering. Marketing product development managers are required to have good interpersonal skills, because this job involves working with a number of employees to ensure all projects completed on time. They must have a keen understanding of industry and overall market trends to predict new trends. Additionally, product development managers must possess an understanding of public relations in matters that deal with upcoming products and must also be proficient with basic computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite.
