Make sure the job is paid fairly for the job you are doing not the type of job you are in. Even though i am still quite highly paid for a Customer Services job i find that my pay is equal to the skills involved. Our job is now undergoing a pay cut and the work is not being reflected in this.
I would rather work stress free at 12,000 a year than overworked and overstressed at 20,000.
It is sensible to be paid to the level of work you are doing not what someone else has decided you should work...
