Environmental Scientists work in numerous environments. The job involves a lot of work outside, doing things such as collecting water or air samples. They may visit a river, a forest, an energy plant, and many other places. It depends on what they are to be studying and looking for. The job also takes place indoors in laboratories and offices. So Environmental Scientists use a wealth of different work environments and tools to complete their work. Their work varies dramatically depending on what they are pursuing. Some may work toward developing renewable energy. Others may work to protect the environment from pollution. Some may work to protect a business from other businesses such as the Environmental Protection Agency. Their causes and environments are many. An Environmental Scientists co-workers may vary as well. Some may work with others of the same title or other kinds of scientists. Some may work with professors. Some may be working under the leadership of a supervising Environmental Scientist or professor. Some have subordinates who have the same title but are lower level. Some even have interns as aids. The education requirement for this job is a minimum Bachelors in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or other related sciences.
Environmental Scientists play an important role in many different industries and they work to protect the environment of out world as a whole. Without them, humans may completely destroy their own environment someday. They are under-appreciated by some people with conservative policies, however, they look to protect the environment from everyone and thus protect everyone from themselves.
