Lecturer / Speaker in London:
"No professional development"
Very difficult to obtain a permanent post now but there is some flexibility with the job. it really depends where you work but it has become harder in terms of being given virtually no time to prepare and a horrible unannounced observation schedule with no opportunity for developmental work which all the staff are upset about. If you can cope with Ofsted then this might be the job for you, just make sure there is solid fair senior management in place, otherwise you might be very unhappy.
