Resourceful
To be successful in Sales, must be an excellent listener and spontaneous go-getter. Having the ability to convey your message smoothly and with confidence. Be assertive, and not too agressive.Always be courteuos, allowing oneself to develop a lasting relationship, and establishing rapport.
Good first impression
Dress appropriate for the position you are seeking. I mean from you head to your toe. Go sit in the parking lot at the job site you will be hired, notice how the employees are dress. Once you get inside, never dress better than the department supervisor to the department that you are seeking. The objective is to fit in to show you are part of the "team". Follow through with everything that you say you are going to accomplish. Don't volunteer more than you know you are able to complete and remember to have a life outside of the career. Remember you are being "employed" by the company, you are in agreement of being "used", make sure you have a clear understanding of what your obligations are, what your performance evaluations consist of, when the evaluations are scheduled, and try to be discreet when you are asking questions. Jobs are not the place to purge your emotional needs. Find someone outside of the company to confide in. Remember the mentor can be your greatest and worst asset, be mindful of who you choose to be a mentor. Never say you are going to complete something and you know you haven't the time to do so. It may cost you later.
Dress to impress
Show up early for the interview...at least 10 minutes early. Wear dress pants and a dress shirt that are ironed! Smell good, look awesome and be super positive and up beat.
