All Advice
job advice The company I work for is a contractor for a Government Agency. They don't pay nearly as much as the government employees. The Government employees have great job security, benefits, etc. I have a good benefits package (medical, dental, vision), but little in the way of job security. Our contract is up for renewal in September, and, although it might be extended for another 9 months, right now it is up for open bid and we could lose it that way, or just lose it. I hate having to look for another job- the last time it took me three months and 385 resumes sent and countless interviews (mostly with job seeker companies or contractors). I just want a job that has good job security, a job that I can actually enjoy and excel in with an employer that recognizes my abilities and work ethic that isn't too far from home, with a salary that will actually make me feel a little more than comfortable and hours that aren't too bad. I guess that's an ideal that most people hope for and may be unrealistic, but wouldn't it be wonderful to actually get that kind of position?
Helping others to help themselves My dream job is being able to help people that have disabilities, and is not able to do things for themselves, also being there when they need someone to talk to, having someone they can share their thoughts and feelings with.
More personal time I wish for more personal time. It's tough when you're on a schedule driven project where 50+ hr weeks are the norm and there's no OT for management.
Wanting to move to Wisconsin? I would like to move to Wisconsin. I worked in New Hampshere for 23.00 hour and travelled with a company to Philly. With them I got 17.00 hour, however nurses receive about 20.00 hour. Would like to relocate without a company to Wisconsin. What is the pay?
I did my job and it showed. This made it easy for me to ask for what I wanted. When you know your capable of handling task and specific detail matter just do it unless it requires clearance for an department head.don't be afraid to shine and ask for what yo want.
Executive Assistant advice Always be two steps ahead of your boss. Don't wait for them to ask you about something, just go ahead and do something. Even if it's not exactly right, your boss will appreciate that you moved forward to try to make progress. However, don't be afraid to ask for clarification from your boss. They are usually very busy people and may not always communicate effectively. Asking for clarification shows that you care about getting things done correctly and efficiently. Finally, and most importantly, take pride in your work!
