Earning approximately $21.18 on average, Accounting Coordinators receive the most money, followed by Retail Store Managers ($12.00), Assistant Store Managers ($10.81), and Retail Store Assistant Managers (around $10.75). Earning only about $8.12, Sales Associates make less than most people in the company.
When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($20.40 per hour) can be spotted in Dallas; Norfolk ($14.50), Austin (around $12.01), and Portland (about $11.00) are the next top-paying cities. Those interested in increasing earning potential should avoid the city of Las Vegas — at approximately $8.25, salaries are some of the lowest in the country. The highest pay by state can be found in Texas, where pay average out at $18.78 per hour.
Average pay is typically $9.28 for those with five or more years experience. On the whole, the greater proportion of employees (45 percent) have a tenure of one to four years and bring home about $8.83 per hour.
Being a Certified ServSafe Food Handler certainly has its perks — salaries approach $9.04 and far exceed the paychecks of those without certification.
In this role, the best-paying skill appears to be Inventory Management; individuals who claim it among their capabilities enjoy a higher median salary of $11.49. Customer Service is considered a run-of-the-mill skill; more than half of 7-Eleven, Inc.'s people use it regularly. Cash Handling, Retail, and Customer Relations were also reported by many survey participants.
Paid time off is hard to come by at 7-Eleven, Inc.; the company rewards only 30 percent with paid vacation time and only 22 percent with sick leave. A little over a half of workers save for retirement through 7-Eleven, Inc.'s 401(k) plan.
