Respondents who have been working for five to nine years make about $124K per year on average. Broken down by tenure, the largest share of Acquia employees (48 percent) have one to four years of experience and earn approximately $54K annually on average.
The highest average salaries go to Software Engineers, who bring in close to $120K per year, though Solutions Architects are not far behind at $100K along with Senior Business Analysts ($55K) and Business Development Representatives (around $40K).
U.S. pay levels are highest in the state of Massachusetts; salaries there average to approximately $75K annually.
Certifications and Degrees
The highest-paying degree here is a B.A. in Bachelor of Arts (BA); Acquia awards around $55K to these degree-holders.
Employees who count Linux among their skills enjoy higher pay; the median for this group is about $127K per year. Drupal is considered a run-of-the-mill skill; around one in five of Acquia's people use it regularly. Ruby, PHP, and Cloud Computing were also reported by many survey participants.
Benefits and Perks
One in four employees receive paid vacation, and only 31 percent get sick leave. A majority of employees report contributing to a 401(k).
