The highest average salaries go to Registered Nurses, who bring in close to $25.34 per hour, though Administrative Assistants are not far behind at $11.95 along with Certified Nurse Assistants earning approximately $11.37.

Years of Experience

Average pay is about $26.75 per hour for those with five to nine years of experience. When we consider tenure, a substantial portion of employees (62 percent) have been working for one to four years and make around $14.95 per hour on average.


Residents of Rock Hill, S.C. pick up paychecks that are higher than any other city — the median salary is $27.00 per hour; other top-paying cities include Walterboro, S.C. (about $26.00) and Columbia, S.C. ($18.45).

Certifications and Degrees
