The highest paychecks go to Meat Cutters, who earn $18.25, closely trailed by Gas Station Attendants (around $10.80), Deli Clerks ($10.56), and Bakers ($10.48). Stockers are among the lowest paid at about $8.35.
Respondents with a company tenure of five to ten years tend to make approximately $10.20. By and large, the biggest segment of BJ's Wholesale Club's workforce (54 percent) have been working for one to four years and take home around $9.31 per hour.
Within the firm, employees working in Pennsylvania take home the most — approximately $12.50 per hour on average.
Salaries approach $10.69 for OSHA Forklift Operator Certifications; non-accredited workers make much less. Certified ServSafe Food Handlers with credentials can live quite comfortably; salaries come in at $10.15 per hour. At BJ's Wholesale Club, employees who hold a Bachelor's Degree receive the highest pay at about $13.00.
When it comes to skills, Microsoft Office seems to bolster pay the most; employees who claim proficiency also enjoy a median income of $14.74. Folks here also tend to know Customer Service; on the survey, nearly one-half of workers named it in their skills portfolios. Other skills in demand are Cash Handling, Sales, and Order Inventory.
When it comes to employee benefits, BJ's Wholesale Club has room for improvement — only 38 percent are paid for vacation and sick time. A solid majority of workers take advantage of the 401(k) plan that BJ's Wholesale Club sponsors. Health insurance is part of the package for a fair portion of workers, and for more than half of workers, dental coverage is too. BJ's Wholesale Club employees also enjoy perks such as life insurance, 401(a), and a casual working environment.
