($56K) are the next top-paying cities. Chicago, Ill. is near the bottom for pay at $55K. By state, the highest compensation levels appear in Texas, where the average salary is around $118K per year.
Account Managers represent the higher end of the earnings spectrum — in fact, median pay for this job is the highest at approximately $122K annually — though Research Chemists and Production Schedulers also do fairly well at about $78K and $58K, respectively.
Certifications and Degrees
Certified Six Sigma Green Belts are compensated at a much higher rate than non-authorized workers, bringing in close to approximately $83K per year. Earning a Certified Chemical Engineer certification garners significant financial rewards of $76K annually on average. The highest-paying degree here is a Bachelor of Science in Bachelor of Science (BS / BSc); Clariant Corporation awards $105K to these degree-holders.
When it comes to skills, employees who report Account Sales among their abilities seem to make the most, reporting a median income of $120K per year.
