Average pay is $59K per year for those with five to nine years of experience. When we consider tenure, a substantial portion of employees (67 percent) have been working for 10-19 years and make $59K annually on average.
By state, North Dakota offers the highest pay at approximately $88K per year.
District Sales Managers are the best paid with the average salary hovering at $72K annually; Outside Sales Representatives also rank near the top of the list, pulling in around $58K per year.
Certifications and Degrees
OSHA Forklift Operator Certifications are compensated at a much higher rate than non-authorized workers, bringing in close to about $64K annually.
The highest-paying skill to have may be Customer Relationship Management; employees who claim proficiency also report a higher average salary of $62K per year. Folks here also tend to know People Management; on the survey, approximately one-fourth of workers named it in their skills portfolios. Many workers are also familiar with Account Sales, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
Benefits and Perks
Paid time off is in short supply here, with only a third of respondents receiving paid vacation and 22 percent receiving paid sick days. A 401(k) program is available, and the vast majority of respondents use it to save for retirement. Health insurance comes as part of the deal for a large number of employees, and a large number of survey participants report receiving dental coverage as well. Other privileges include a company cell phone, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, and free drinks.
