By state, Wyoming offers the highest pay at approximately $12.00 per hour.
Security Supervisors earn the highest median pay at $12.75 per hour, followed by Security Guards ($10.86), Security Officers (around $10.59), and Security Officers (about $10.00).
Years of Experience
Respondents who have been working for five to nine years make $10.68 per hour on average. When we consider tenure, a substantial portion of employees (56 percent) have been working for one to four years and make approximately $11.13 per hour on average.
Certifications and Degrees
Those lacking certification bring in much lower salaries than Automated External Defibrillator Specialists, who make $12.21 per hour. Guardsmark, Llc. provides the highest financial reward to those with a Bachelor's Degree — these employees rake in $11.88 per hour.
