Nearing the top of the pay scale are VPs of Commercial Lending and Assistant Branch Managers of Banking; the former receives the highest median pay at $120K annually while around $36K per year is the norm for the latter.


When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($70K annually) can be spotted in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Naples, Fla. ($54K), New Orleans, La. (approximately $51K), and Birmingham, Ala. (about $45K) are the next top-paying cities. High paychecks are not found in Montgomery, Ala.; in fact, at around $29K it is one of the worst-paid cities.
