Expected earnings are below average (about $79K) in Tucson, Ariz., one of the lowest-paid cities. U.S. pay levels are highest in the state of California; salaries there average to $111K annually.

Certifications and Degrees

Salaries approach about $143K per year for Cisco Certified Network Associates; non-accredited workers make much less. Certified ScrumMasters with credentials can live quite comfortably; median salaries come in at $132K annually. Intuit Inc. compensates Master of Business Administration (MBA), Business Management-holders the most at $178K per year.

Skills

In this role, the best-paying skill appears to be Agile; individuals who claim it among their capabilities enjoy a higher median salary of approximately $118K annually. Java also popped up often in the survey as an important skill; just under one in four of employees surveyed report using it at work.
