The highest average salaries go to Social Media Directors, who bring in close to $132K per year, though Senior Marketing Managers are not far behind at approximately $115K along with Senior Chemists (around $81K) and Business Development Managers ($67K). L'Oreal USA hands out some of the smallest paychecks to Chemists ($55K on average).


When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck (about $98K annually) can be spotted in New York, N.Y.; Piscataway, N.J. (around $90K), Clark, N.J. ($88K), and Berkeley Heights, N.J. Certifications and Degrees

Licensed Lawyers earn about $192K annually, far more than their non-accredited counterparts. Certified Information Systems Auditors also rank high on the pay scale, with expected average earnings of $106K per year. Those with a Master of Arts (MA) at L'Oreal USA come out on top, and their salaries approach around $123K annually.


When it comes to skills, employees who report Social Media Marketing among their abilities seem to make the most, reporting a median income of approximately $109K per year. Project Management also popped up often in the survey as an important skill; just under a fifth of employees surveyed report using it at work. Many workers usually know Data Analysis, Microsoft Excel, and Financial Analysis as well.

Benefits and Perks

Paid time off is in short supply here, with only 42 percent receiving paid vacation and a fifth of respondents receiving paid sick days. It's easy to build up retirement reserves here with programs such as a 401(k) plan and a company pension plan. Most employees report having health insurance, and a large number of survey participants report having dental coverage. Additional benefits of working here are gym membership, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
