Years of Experience
Between the one and five year mark, median pay is $46K per year. When we consider tenure, a substantial portion of employees (35 percent) have been working for five to nine years and make about $52K annually on average.
Member Services Managers are the best paid with the average salary hovering at around $46K per year; Personal Trainers and Massage Therapists also rank near the top of the list, pulling in $43K and $26K, respectively.
Certifications and Degrees
Monetary compensation comes to approximately $48K annually for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Specialists, far surpassing the earnings of non-credentialed workers. Personal Trainers also rank high on the pay scale, with expected average earnings of $43K per year. Those with a B.A. in Bachelor of Arts (BA) at Life Time Fitness, Inc. come out on top, and their salaries approach around $74K annually.
Employees who count People Management among their skills enjoy higher pay; the median for this group is $98K per year. Weight Loss/Weight Management also popped up often in the survey as an important skill; slightly less than one-fifth of employees surveyed report using it at work. Employees also tend to round out their skills sets with Budget Management, Customer Service, and Health and Wellness.
Benefits and Perks
Unfortunately, a minority of employees — about a sixth of employees — are presented with both paid vacation and sick leave.
