Those who have five to nine years of work experience see average salaries of about $45K per year. The greater proportion of employees (40 percent) report 20 years or more of experience and bring home median pay of $61K annually.
High School Teachers are awarded the highest paychecks, with average compensation nearing approximately $55K per year; Elementary School Teachers are next on the list, bringing in close to $49K annually.
Certifications and Degrees
Those lacking certification bring in much lower salaries than Teacher Certifications, who make $66K per year. Bigger paychecks are awarded to Bilingual Educations with credentials; these people earn around $47K annually on average.
Employees who count Maintenance among their skills enjoy higher pay; the median for this group is approximately $47K per year. It's pretty common to find people here who know Spanish Language; about a third consider it a key competency.
Benefits and Perks
A third of respondents have paid vacation, and only about half of respondents can take paid time off for illness.
