When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck (around $18.36 per hour) can be spotted in Sacramento, Calif.; Modesto, Calif. (about $15.87), Benicia, Calif. ($13.25), and Reno, Nev. (approximately $11.59) are the next top-paying cities. Expected earnings are below average ($9.78) in Elk Grove, Calif., one of the lowest-paid cities. Across Raley's' U.S. offices, employees in the state of Nevada earn the most, taking home approximately $13.06 per hour.
Pharmacy Technicians represent the higher end of the earnings spectrum — in fact, median pay for this job is the highest at around $15.44 per hour — though Sales Clerks and Cashiers, Meat Clerks, and Grocery Clerks also do fairly well at $14.50, about $14.27, and $14.14, respectively. With salaries averaging $9.60, Courtesy Clerks are among the lowest paid at Raley's.
Certifications and Degrees
Certified ServSafe Food Handlers receive bigger paychecks ($16.60 per hour) than those without credentials. Raley's workers who hold a Bachelor of Science in Bachelor of Science (BS / BSc) are also well compensated, earning approximately $14.18 on average.

Benefits and Perks
A large number of employees allocate some part of their earnings to the company-sponsored 401(k) savings plan. Paid time off due to illness is less common here than paid vacation time, one in three employees report receiving the former, whereas a majority of employees report receiving the latter. For a fair number of respondents, benefits include health insurance, and a strong majority of survey participants get dental coverage, too.
