Staying at the company for five to ten years brings notable financial rewards; the average income in this window is $73K annually. A typical employee has one to four years of experience and earns $49K per year.
Scientific Research Managers earn the highest median pay at approximately $80K, followed by Clinical Research Associates (around $60K).
CompTIA Network+ Experts earn about $58K, far more than their non-accredited counterparts. Becoming a Certified Clinical Research Professional can certainly pay off here; those folks make $52K. Employees who have a Doctorate (PhD) make the most here, hauling in about $65K annually.
The best paying skill to have in this role appears to be Molecular Biology; employees who claim this ability report median compensation of $65K. Project Management also popped up often in the survey as an important skill; around one in five of employees surveyed report using it at work. Other top skills include Data Analysis, Clinical Research, and Microsoft Excel.
Paid time off is scarce, with only about 37 percent receiving paid vacation and just under a third of workers receiving sick leave. Quite a few retirement plans are on offer at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, including a 401(k) plan and a 403(b) plan. Health insurance is part of the package for a solid majority of workers, and for the vast majority of workers, dental coverage is too.
