It really depends on your job. When I was at Boeing, I was a database administrator. The work wasn't too stressful, and was typically limited to 40 hours a week. The commute wasn't great, because I worked on 3 different campuses (spanning 30+miles) around Seattle and only had minimal control about which campus I'd be at on a given day.
The really weird part was the composition of my group though. Everyone was very nice, and I liked them all... but aside from a couple of recent college grads like myself, the entire 100+ person department was 50+ years old.
