By state, the highest compensation levels appear in California, where the average salary is about $56K annually.
Years of Experience
For those with one to four years of experience, median paychecks reach around $44K per year. For those who claim five to nine years of work experience, pay on average amounts to $47K annually. When we consider tenure, a substantial portion of employees (34 percent) have been working for 10-19 years and make $48K per year on average.
Account Managers are the best paid with the average salary hovering at approximately $56K annually; Operations Managers, Landscape Managers, and Senior Operations Managers also rank near the top of the list, pulling in about $46K, $46K, and $46K, respectively. Landscaping Supervisors make an average $38K, close to the bottom of the company pay scale.
Certifications and Degrees
Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditors earn around $50K per year, far more than their non-accredited counterparts. Earning a First Aid Administrator certification garners significant financial rewards of $46K annually on average. Employees who count Customer Relationship Management among their skills enjoy higher pay; the median for this group is about $59K per year.
