When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($78K per year) can be spotted in Atlanta, Ga.; North Canton, Ohio (around $50K), Mobile, Ala. (about $47K), and Canton, Ohio ($46K) are the next top-paying cities. By state, South Carolina offers the highest pay at $85K annually.


The highest paychecks go to Terminal Managers, who earn an average approximately $55K per year, closely trailed by Fuel Tanker Drivers ($52K), Gas Schedulers ($48K), and Project Analysts (around $48K). Financial compensation for Diesel Shop Foremen is rather low — on average only $38K — relative to the rest of the company.

Years of Experience

Between the one and five year mark, median pay is about $48K annually. When we consider tenure, a substantial portion of employees (35 percent) have been working for five to nine years and make approximately $47K per year on average.

Certifications and Degrees

Automotive Brakes Service Exellence Certificate Holders earn about $53K annually, far more than their non-accredited counterparts. The highest-paying degree here is a Bachelor's Degree; The Kenan Advantage Group awards around $62K to these degree-holders.
