A degree means nothing....
I've been reading and see more and more individuals complaining about their peers who possess no college degree, who coincidentally, have experienced growth with a company. Let me be the first to let you know that degrees mean absolutely nothing... ...well, nothing that is, unless you put it to good use to benefit those around you (and how I wish more companies would see this). This could mean providing services to others, utilizing your educational background to increase revenue, etc. I would much rather hire an associate without a degree, who has contributed more to the growth and success of others than someone with a degree with no relevant proof of fortitude and passion. If you're flashing your education around, I challenge you today. Other than complete the required courses to obtain your degree, what has been your contribution? What truly, have you accomplished prior to obtaining a high level position to prove to the world that you deserve it? And to those who have no degree, what has been your contribution? I hope not complaining. That is much time wasted where you could be utilizing your skills to show others you stand out above the rest...even the well-educated. As for me, you may be asking (and quite possibly, judging). Yes, I made my contributions. I have always possessed the passion to serve others first as Christ did. And only before having the passion to obtain any degree. I'm 29, have a Ph.D. and will continue to serve others first. My opinion though, is that degrees mean absolutely nothing until you utilize your talents for those around you. As far as the good books...go ahead and read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. This is for everyone.
Love doing retail and why.
I love doing retail because that's where I have the most experience. Another reason I love retail/stock is because I'm a very organized person. In some retail you have to love working with and around people and I'm a very friendly person.
Challenge of an Immigrant moving to USA
Dear Readers:This should be an advice, but at the same time I will like to see if some else has the same problem with discrimination for being an immigrant, and what can I do?. I always hoped for my dream job, working on the development on friendly Professional Web sites. Until today when I have learned the language, polish my accent, improve my computer skills (but still have to finish my career), got my permanent green card, got into the corporate world; I even being working on improving my credit report and I still can see the problems of discrimination, but now is double, I’m discriminated for being an immigrant and for being a woman. Up to day is being so hard to start a career of my dreams, and finishing school have become the biggest challenge, but definitely having a job that will pay me what is right will help. Right now is just not possible to go back to school with out asking for an student loan, and I really do not have that much of time to research due to my new family (husband and 14 months baby boy). Can anybody give me a hint what other possibilities exist to go for a career for Website developer? despite the fact of discrimination I never going to give up my dreams.SinceralyLatina in Atlanta :)
Financially Stable

To all: Follow your dream, because if you don't, it was just a myth that was never brought to reality!!!
I presently work with the population of the Mentally Challenged, I have almost three years with one organization and almost two with the other, don't get me wrong I love working with my consumer, but I believe that this is not my calling, that God and I both want. My dream job is to work in the Justice system with the adolescents, help our children, because they need us... I believe if I can reach out to a hand full, that my mission is complete, because as much as I wish that I could save them all, that is just a fathom, not a reality.
