All Advice
Straight-foward
Be open to change be prompt and on time. Most of all be professional, honest, and polite be firm and stand on your principles.
Time to move on!
If you are fired from a law enforcement position, it's definately worth applying with another agency. If not, take your excellent customer service, political and common sense experience into a new career!
Overpaid
In all honesty, I have to say we as corrections officers are very well paid, bordering on overpaid, at least here in NJ. I would never complain of such a thing, just putting out the truth. I cant think of many other jobs where you can make over 100k within a few years(without overtime), without a college degree. On top of the great base pay, we have almost unlimited overtime whenever you want it,great benefits/pension, and very generous vaction/sick/personal/holiday pay. God bless the Unions!
