Dream Job
I am not a secretary
Administrative Assistant - (City withheld for privacy), Florida, United States
An administrative assistant job is a good place to start in a company if you want to get a foot in the door, but do not have specific experience in the particular field. You need to show off your skills and abilities early, by showing initiative and taking on challenging projects. Ask for more assignments. It may seem overwhelming at first, but it will eventually pay off. I am now in a different position within my company by starting out as an assistant and moving into the department I was best suited for. Good luck!
