Job Description for Advertising/Promotions Director

Advertising and promotions directors are responsible for overseeing and coordinating an organization’s public-facing sales programs and policies, helping create interest in their company’s products or services. This director supervises the creation of advertising campaigns and timely promotional offerings that may span a variety of mediums, including print publications, online venues, billboards, television stations, and others. Many advertising and promotions directors also handle contract negotiations and work with other organizational staff and department leaders to coordinate cohesive strategies across departments and disciplines. Hiring and managing advertising staff are other common functions performed by these directors.
