Artistic Director Salary
Artistic Directors in the United States tend to have a good amount of experience under their belt — two in three have more than 10 years in the field. While pay runs from $31K to $98K per year, median earnings come to $50K annually. Career duration is the biggest factor affecting pay for this group, followed by geography. Most Artistic Directors report high levels of job satisfaction. Women are just slightly outnumbered, with male Artistic Directors making up 54 percent of survey respondents. Although over a third lack health benefits of any kind, the larger part do enjoy medical insurance, and slightly less than a third get dental coverage, too. This overview is based on answers to PayScale's salary questionnaire.
