The assistant manager may also be expected to lead or aid in marketing efforts, in order to reach new potential clientele. The assistant manager may be given a budget or expected to keep costs low, so it is important to conserve supplies and to order affordable supplies. Keeping inventory is often one of the duties involved to make sure that supplies are reordered when they are low. The assistant manager will often be expected to teach and train new staff members.
