Construction Project Coordinator
Assistant Project Manager, Construction - (City withheld for privacy), Delaware, United States
My progress has been noticed and rewarded considerably but not up to the market standard for my area.

When asking for a raise I let them know that what I do is not what I was hired to do, it's very much more. I point out all the positive things I contribute and what I am currently in the process of learning. I stay away from the negatives but keep aware of them. When negotiation time comes I will prepare a written report showing a Base Salary Report with a Job description. If the job description doesn't match exactly that's when I add the additional tasks I perform to keep my office running smoothly to justify additional compensation. This job is not what it seems. You can't go to any school to get a degree in what I do.

I manage a satalite office and assist at least 1 Project Manager and a number of Estimators, Superintendents, Foreman, Operators, Labors, HR personnel, Accounts Payable, Receivable and Controllers.

My job started out assisting 1 Project Manager with 1 project. It has since escallated into all the things above and more.

In order to get my raises I try to make sure that I keep my finger on the pulse of the projects now active in all aspects. I try to trouble shoot for the Project Manager and other staff.
