The key responsibility of the assistant vice president for corporate and foundation relations is to create and implement a corporate fundraising strategy. They also seek out potential donors, and local travel may be required when soliciting prospective donors. Good communication skills are a must, as it is necessary to reach out to both colleagues and prospects. The ability to create and maintain a budget is absolutely necessary.
