Job Description for Associate Producer, Radio

An associate producer in radio will be responsible for assisting senior producers in the production of a radio show, broadcast, or performance. This position requires a person who is extremely adaptable and able to work on a variety of projects. A radio associate producer will work full-time hours, though the shifts may vary according to the needs of the radio station. This person will typically attain a bachelor’s degree in a field such as production, advertising, or journalism. An associate producer will work under an executive and may be part of a team of other associate producers, as well as broadcasting assistants, DJs, technical staff and presenters.
