Things that could possibly retard employment
Auditor - (City withheld for privacy), New Jersey, United States
Never get too comfortable with your potential employer. No many employers are loyal and trustworthy now days so you should always be alert and on your guard. When I get this question, I usually seem uneasy, but I have learned if you look theminthe eye and tell them a realistic number then you will get a realistic answer. It also doesnt hurt to add: If this number is not possible then maybe their can be a probationary period to allow me to get to this number. I feel compensation should be addressed even before the interview. There is nothing worse then sitting in traffic for 3 hours and arriving at your interview, for them to tell you that the pay will be $10k less then you need or want.
