Auto Body Technicians in the United States are largely men, earning an average of $16.25 per hour. The most influential factor affecting pay for this group is career length, though the company and location have a (lesser) impact as well. Not all workers are lucky enough to have benefits; in fact, roughly one-half are without coverage. Medical insurance is claimed by more than half and dental insurance is reported by close to a third. Job satisfaction is reported as high by the vast majority of workers. The data for this snapshot was collected from individuals who took PayScale's salary survey.
