Advice
Advice: Job: Automotive Service Technician / MechanicA S E cetifacation dealerships look for this certifation when hiring or give raises for each test pasted . my dealership at the time offered ten cents a test. So I took 6 tests the begining of the year and another 6 test six months later. Past them all and got a 1.20 raise in the first 8 months of working there.
First Month I Got a Raise Well I was having trouble in North Carolina where I was attending a Technical school but they were basically teaching me the same things I already new about being an Auto Tech and couldn't really see the real reason other than a piece of paper saying I now know what I already knew before. Plus I couldn't get a decent paying job because I had no papers saying I can do the job. Well I was home visiting my family and the owner of the Ford dealership was talking to my mother about not having enough...
Confidence Go in there with basically what you want, why, and when you will begin the raise. I pointed out my strong work skills and the benefits of having me as an employee.
