Answering that question "What is your salary expectation?"
This can often put someone in an awkward position when asked this on an interview, it is a difficult question, because you don't want to sound greedy, but at that the same time, you don't want to be taken advantage of...my advice is to turn the question back to the interviewer by saying "Well, it's difficult for me to put an exact dollar amount on this position that I am interviewing for, because I haven't performed the exact tasks for this particular company, so it would be unfair for me to calculate an exact figure", take a deep breath, and say "Let me ask you what the range is for this particular position, what has been a successful payrate with previous applicants", and then have that inquisitive questionable look on your face, this has worked for me many times, and always to my favor. If the amount is too low, you can try to negotiate your strengths and experience, if it's higher than you expected, even better, keep a straigh poker face, and nod.
