Get everything in writing
My advice to any one considering a job that requires relocating is to negotiate the best deal you can, complete with dates and any special considerations, and get it in writing, notarizied if possible. This way, if there are any questions later they can be addressed. Also, keep receipts for everything involved with the move for the employer's records, your records and tax records.
